About Meg Kauffman

Meg has lived in Stowe since 2003.  She and her husband and two children decided to relocate from the Boston area after growing weary of city traffic, and long commutes. They were looking for a simpler, more relaxed lifestyle in a quintessential New England Town like Stowe, without limiting their children’s academic and recreational opportunities. Their kids grew up walking to and from school, skiing all winter; swimming, biking, and hiking during the summer; and feeling connected to their friends and community. They all met more lifelong friends in two weeks than in two years in Boston; and found that opportunities to get involved and become a part of the town’s vibrant lifestyle were endless.

Over the years, Meg has served on local boards such as the Stowe Free Library, the Stowe Cooperative Nursery School, TRIP Dance Company, and the Lamoille Area Board of Realtors. She currently serves as Secretary for the Stowe Land Trust. Meg has received the esteemed Realtor of the Year award from the Lamoille Area Board of Realtors. She has also been the recipient of Coldwell Banker’s International President’s Circle award, year after year, which the top 5% of all agents worldwide are eligible for. For 2019 she received Coldwell Banker's International President's Elite award which are granted to only 2% of all agents worldwide.

Meg and her family enjoy skiing, trail running, mountain biking, and volunteering for local non-profit endeavors. Meg’s daughter attends Southern Methodist University: Meadows School of the Arts; and her son goes to Middlebury College. Both of them participated in the Mount Mansfield Ski Club.

Stowe fulfills the desires of those who are looking for a supportive and engaged community rich in culture, the arts, abundant recreation opportunities, and an extraordinarily beautiful and scenic landscape. Living in Stowe is a truly wonderful and unique experience.
